Reksoft shared its experience at the round table “Issues of export promotion of IT services”

Reksoft took part at the round table “Issues of export promotion of IT services” organized by ANO Export Assistance Center of St Petersburg with the support of NRW.INVEST, German-Russian Chamber of Commerce, RUSSOFT, St Petersburg Center for the Development and Support of Entrepreneurship and TWIN CAMPUS project.

During the round table the experts of the companies participating in international business and technological partnerships exchanged their points of view on a diverse range of issues relating to the international business development. State support programs of IT exporters, legal aspects and specificities of export documentation were discussed as well as cases and success stories were reviewed.

Reksoft’s representative Alexander Semenov, the Deputy Director for new markets, participated at “Export IT: cases and stories of success” section of the event. Alexander talked about Reksoft experience in creating and launching on the international market of the hotel management system Edelweiss/Medallion.

“When introducing the product to foreign markets you need a local partner which will serve as a sales channel and help you reach customers in the region. Choosing the right partner is not an easy task. You need to have patience and prepare to follow the path of trial and error. We managed it and we succeeded at finding such a partner as a result of which during the first year our hotel automation system was purchased by around 100 hotels in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It was an impressive start”, said Alexander Semenov. Today Edelweiss/Medallion system is in high demand and is used by more than 1000 hotels in Europe, USA, Africa, Australia and China.
