By John Garratt IT Europa, April 11, 2008 Russian software outsourcer Reksoft has joined the IT-Företagen association, becoming the first company of Russian origin to be a full member of the largest Swedish IT community. With more than 900 members, IT & Telekomföretagen is an organisation for Swedish companies of all sizes in the IT and telecom sector. Reksoft had about 20% of its FY 2007 revenue coming out of this region. "Although we've had an office in Stockholm since 2003 (Reksoft AB), it was mainly used for legal purposes. In the end of 2007 a decision was made to invest into the Nordics affiliate, to hire consultants and project managers locally (in Sweden) and lift the 20% of our revenues here up to at least one third," says Reksoft spokesperson Svetlana Vronskaya. "We've been in touch with IT & Telekomföretagen for a while, we were invited a few times to speak at their events in Stockholm and Reksoft's HQ in St.Petersburg even hosted a visit from IT-Företagen last year. This is why we had no difficulties in getting in." |
