Description |
The objective of this project was to develop a convenient tool for bulk MMS sending. MMS Push Sender is a proof-of-concept application targeted to increase the performance of bulk MMS sending, used in Swisscom Mobile information services. MMS Push Sender consists of two parts: - MMS Notification Sender - Java API which provides methods to send MMS notification messages using a specified user MSISDN. This message is packaged according to the PAP XML standard and is sent directly to the Push Proxy Gateway bypassing the MMSC. The first part of the message is standard PAP address element, and the second part is the MM1 binary encoded notification message with the URL of the MMS Composer Servlet.
- MMS Composer Servlet provides a binary encoded MMS message from the set of content and SMIL file. After receiving the MMS notification, the client mobile terminal automatically redirects to the MMS Composer Servlet and retrieves the prepared MMS content.
A pilot version of the MMS push sender was installed in July 2004 for the Swisscom Olympic Games MMS services. |
