AIMS (Ascotel Information Management System) is a high-level Ascotel ISDN System, PABX configuration and maintenance management application. Originally, the development was aimed at creating a new tool (in addition to the traditional HW tool and the attendant console) for configuration of PABXs of new generation.
Today, AIMS manages the Ascotel ISDN telecommunication system, regardless of time or location. Planning and configuration can be done remotely by a telecom specialist and may be downloaded via the ISDN network. Remote access also allows for the system to be easily reconfigured and upgraded at any time, adapting to changes in organizational structures and work processes. Remote fault alarm and remote maintenance are some of the additional operational advantages.

AIMS software is extensively used wherever Ascotel I4 PABX systems are installed, i.e. practically all over Europe. Further AIMS I4Net streamlined a successful migration of many Aastra customers to Ascotel I4Net PABX thanks to AIMS I4Net software. As result, sales of Ascotel I4Net PABX and AIMS I4Net as a product bundle increased greatly. AIMS I4Net became the Aastra USP.
