Reksoft sponsored this year's Baltic Science and Engineering Contest, which sees pupils from middle schools across Russia compete in projects in the natural and exact sciences, with the best chosen by a panel of scientists, teachers and businessmen. The projects were divided into six sectors - mathematics, software development, physics, biology, chemistry and engineering.

The contest is listed as a national academic competition. Since 2001, 27 participants from St. Petersburg have won prizes ranging from laptops and cameras to mobile phones, awarded by the heads of major product companies.

"The guys' work really impressed us," said Igor Kravchenko, Reksoft's Global Delivery Director, who was present at the event. "It's great that, along with technical content, these projects also have some kind of business application that can be developed."
